Artifakt Denim Shirts: Now Available!

*Photos by Mark Reynolds

Owner, designer, and a proud friend of mine, Tobi Durotoye, of Artifakt Clothing, has just launched the company's latest product: the denim button-down. Hailing from Nigeria, Tobi, focuses on incorporating African details and fabrics into his shirts. Each shirt comes custom with its own pocket that will never be duplicated. Purchasing an Artifakt shirt guarantees you a one-of-a-kind product that is comfortable and extremely wearable. To purchase one of these amazing shirts in light-wash or dark denim, go to: www.artifakt.bigcartel.com.

Hill Side

This weekend I visited some friends that attend UNC: Chapel Hill, and of course I annoyed them enough to pose for photos. Jordan and Steven are both incredibly beautiful people and souls that strive in every walk of life. The night was fueled by wine and the photos posted are the results. I'm disappointed by the grainy feel showcased because the originals are full of detail and edit work. That being said, I've got more photos that I'm currently working on from this shoot and I hope to post them in the next few days. Stay tuned! :)

Dangerous Rose

Well if you don't know him, I'm surprised; he's one of the most individualistic and powerful personalities I've ever come across. D'aaron can model, he can dance like no other, and has the heart of a lion. You will literally never have a dull moment with this kid. When we took these photos we did not decide on a finalized concept, deciding instead to just see what could happen. D'aaron will always be my knight in sexy chocolate.

Today is the day. I am so happy to finally share the site with whomever will read it. At first I wanted the site to be as style oriented as possible, however, realized that I would rather create a site that's style oriented with a dash of a little of everything. Most of the time I will be posting shoots focused on things that I wear and random shit that I do from time to time. Also, the complexities and capabilities of humans are subjects extremely influential in my work; whenever I meet an inspiring individual, I like to showcase them here as well. I am no photographer, however, take and edit the majority of the photos that will appear on this site. I am always willing to collaborate and will take e-mails at any time. At this point I could go on and talk about obscure topics but I will spare you all tonight.. maybe not tomorrow.

All that Glows

Yesterday I awoke to an extremely lazy feeling day that quickly turned energetic when I had the opportunity to hang out and take photos of this lovely lady. Annie Tyner is a Graphic Design and Illustration student that has produced some of the most amazingly detailed and beautiful works that I've seen by any individual. Not only is she an incredible artist, she is also such a gem when she's in front of the lens. Above are some of the results from yesterday's adventure.

Amy

It is an unfortunate truth that positivity and kindness appear lacking in today's world. Negativity affects the majority of people whether it's due in part to the almost impractical set of standards put on society, the fluctuating economy, dissatisfaction with oneself, etc. However true this statement is, I can truthfully tell you that I have never met a more genuine, kind, helpful, and beautiful young lady such as Amy Moret. Not only is she a French major but she is also skilled in many areas of art; she designs and sews aprons while also possessing an online thrift store. The best of luck goes out to this little lady!
